Ingredients

For the Banana Pudding Tiramisu
  • 2 ripe bananas sliced The star of the show, adding natural sweetness and a lovely texture.
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding mix This helps create that creamy layer we all adore.
  • 2 cups milk Essential for the pudding; whole milk works best for richness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream This is what makes the dessert light and fluffy!
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar To sweeten the whipped cream just right.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract A little touch of flavor that makes everything better.
  • 24 pieces ladyfinger cookies These will soak up the coffee and layer beautifully.
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee cooled; Adding a hint of coffee flavor without overpowering the bananas.
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder For that perfect dusting on top.
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Large Bowl
  • Glass Dish or Individual Serving Cups

Method

  1. Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Refrigerate for about 5 minutes, or until it thickens.
  2. Step 2: In a separate large bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the prepared vanilla pudding until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, making sure not to soak them. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a glass dish or individual serving cups. Spread half of the vanilla pudding mixture over the ladyfingers. Layer half of the banana slices on top of the pudding.
  4. Step 4: Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the bananas. Spread the remaining vanilla pudding mixture over the ladyfingers. Top with the remaining banana slices.
  5. Step 5: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired. Enjoy your delicious Banana Pudding Tiramisu!
