- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if using a homemade pie crust. If using a store-bought crust, follow package instructions.
- Step 2: Roll out your pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
- Step 5: Spoon the peanut butter filling into the cooled pie crust and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Step 6: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Step 7: Pour the melted chocolate over the set peanut butter filling, spreading evenly. Return the pie to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Step 8: Slice the pie and serve chilled. Enjoy your delicious Buckeye Pie!
