Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Step 2: Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the peanut butter until fully combined.
  3. Step 3: Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped nuts, if using.
  5. Step 5: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Notes
