- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Step 3: Shape the meat mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Step 4: In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Brown the patties on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 5: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly on the bottom.
- Step 6: In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and milk. Stir until smooth.
- Step 7: Place the browned hamburger patties on top of the potatoes. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the patties and potatoes.
- Step 8: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Step 9: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
