Method
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine the cooled brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
- Step 3: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer the bottom of serving cups with the soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone cream.
- Step 4: Cover the cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- Step 5: Before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
To keep your tiramisu cups fresh, cover them tightly with plastic wrap or transfer them to an airtight container. They will stay delicious in the fridge for up to 3 days.
