For the Edible Yogurt Silly Putty
  • 1 cup plain yogurt The base of our silly putty, creamy and delightful.
  • 1 cup cornstarch This gives it that perfect putty-like texture.
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract optional; adds a sweet aroma and flavor.
  • Food coloring optional; for fun, vibrant colors.

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt and cornstarch.
  2. Step 2: Stir the mixture together until it forms a thick, sticky dough. You might need to use your hands to really get in there!
  3. Step 3: If desired, add vanilla extract for flavor and mix well.
  4. Step 4: If you want to add color, divide the dough into portions and add a few drops of food coloring to each portion. Knead the dough until the color is evenly distributed.
  5. Step 5: Once the dough is well mixed and has reached a putty-like consistency, it's ready to play with!
  6. Step 6: Store any leftover edible silly putty in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

To keep your silly putty fresh, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It should last about a week.
