- Step 1: Prepare the Fruit Puree: If using fresh fruit, blend until smooth. If frozen, thaw and blend for a creamy texture.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the yogurt with the fruit puree. Stir well to ensure it's fully mixed.
- Step 3: Spoon a layer of the yogurt-fruit mixture into the bottom of each silicone egg mold, filling them about one-third full.
- Step 4: Sprinkle a layer of granola on top of the yogurt mixture, followed by a layer of sliced fruit.
- Step 5: Fill the molds with the remaining yogurt-fruit mixture, leaving a little space at the top for expansion during freezing.
- Step 6: Optional: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for an extra treat.
- Step 7: Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.
- Step 8: Carefully remove the dinosaur eggs from the molds. You can run warm water over the outside for easier release.
- Step 9: Serve these fun and healthy Frozen Dinosaur Eggs as a snack or dessert!
Notes
Feel free to swap out the yogurt for a dairy-free alternative or use different fruits for the puree. You can store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
