- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Once they are al dente, drain them and set aside.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, milk, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is nicely blended.
- Step 4: Add the cooked macaroni to the chicken mixture and stir until it is well combined.
- Step 5: Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Step 6: Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until it is bubbly and golden on top.
- Step 7: Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped green onions if desired before serving.
