- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Step 3: Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Step 4: Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed.
- Step 5: Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
- Step 6: Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch loaf pan or a cake pan.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes (for a loaf) or 30-35 minutes (for a cake) until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 8: Allow the banana bread cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor. Store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.
