Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until it's all smooth and well combined.
- Step 3: Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and mix until everything is nicely blended.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Step 6: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they're evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Step 7: Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Step 8: Bake for 25-30 minutes. You'll know they are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 9: Once baked, allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
These bars are great for meal prep! Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze them for longer storage. Just wrap them individually in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer bag.
