  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter The star ingredient that adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For that sweet, creamy peanut butter filling.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Because more chocolate is always a good idea!
  • 1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups These little treasures will make each bite a delight.
  • 3 large eggs To bind everything together.
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil For moisture and richness.
  • 1 cup water To help bring the batter together.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract The secret ingredient that enhances all the flavors.

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or knife

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.
  3. Step 3: Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of this scrumptious mixture over the cake batter.
  5. Step 5: Add the remaining cake batter on top of the peanut butter mixture, making sure it covers it well.
  6. Step 6: Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups evenly over the top.
  7. Step 7: Using a spatula or knife, gently swirl the peanut butter mixture into the cake batter.
  8. Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Step 9: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
