- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

- Step 6: Divide the dough into two portions, flatten them into disks, and wrap each in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 7: On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disk of dough to about ¼ inch thick. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes.
- Step 8: Place a lollipop stick or wooden skewer at the bottom of each star-shaped cookie, ensuring it is securely embedded in the dough.
- Step 9: Sprinkle the tops of the cookies with sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration.
- Step 10: Transfer the cookie wands to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Step 11: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
