Method
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well. Add the sliced pork tenderloin to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Step 2: After marinating, remove the pork from the refrigerator. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Set aside.
- Step 3: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork to the skillet, reserving the marinade. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is browned and cooked through.
- Step 4: Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet with the cooked pork. Bring it to a simmer, stirring frequently.
- Step 5: Once the sauce is simmering, stir in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
- Step 6: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve the sticky honey garlic pork over steamed rice or with vegetables.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm it up in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until heated through.
