Ingredients
  

For the Stromboli
  • 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg beaten, for egg wash
For serving
  • Marinara sauce

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12 inches long.
  3. Step 3: Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Step 4: Layer the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on top of the ricotta.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the filling.
  6. Step 6: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, creating a log shape.
  7. Step 7: Pinch the edges to seal the Stromboli and tuck the ends under.
  8. Step 8: Place the Stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Step 9: Brush the top with the beaten egg.
  10. Step 10: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Step 11: Allow to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Leftover Stromboli can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply pop it back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
