Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12 inches long.
- Step 3: Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Step 4: Layer the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on top of the ricotta.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the filling.
- Step 6: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, creating a log shape.
- Step 7: Pinch the edges to seal the Stromboli and tuck the ends under.
- Step 8: Place the Stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Step 9: Brush the top with the beaten egg.
- Step 10: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Step 11: Allow to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Leftover Stromboli can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply pop it back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
