Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Hawaiian Roll Sliders
  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls sweet and soft
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience
  • 1 cup diced pineapple fresh or canned
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter to brush on top
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced pineapple, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Step 3: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  4. Step 4: Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  5. Step 5: Brush the melted butter over the top of the rolls for added flavor and to help them brown.
  6. Step 6: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Step 7: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
